Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms apply to every trip, tour and travel service you book with ColombiaSky. ColombiaSky is part of Organización Aviatur. Trips are operated by Agencia de Viajes y Turismo Aviatur S.A.S., NIT 860000018-2, Registro Nacional de Turismo (RNT) 16362, Carrera 7 No. 115-60, Zona D, Oficina 401, Bogotá, Colombia. By confirming a booking or making your first payment, you accept these terms and the specific conditions of each service described in your itinerary proposal.

1. Our role

We design your itinerary and book hotels, guides, transport, domestic flights and activities on your behalf. We act as an intermediary between you and the providers of those services (hotels, airlines, transport companies, guides and local operators), under Colombian tourism law (Law 300 of 1996 and Decree 1074 of 2015). Each provider remains responsible for delivering its own service. We take reasonable care in choosing providers and will help you take any request or complaint to them before, during and after your trip. If a problem arises during the trip, please tell the provider immediately and let us know as well.

2. Your itinerary and what is included

Your written proposal lists exactly what is included: accommodation, transport, guides, activities, meals and domestic flights. Anything not listed is not included. Unless your proposal says otherwise, international flights, travel insurance, visas, most meals, tips and personal expenses are not included.

3. Prices, quotes and exchange rates

  • Quotes are subject to availability. Prices can change because of provider availability, currency movements, or changes in taxes and government charges outside our control. The price is guaranteed only once your payment is confirmed and the services are booked.
  • Prices quoted in a currency other than Colombian pesos are converted at the exchange rate applicable on the payment date. Administrative and financial costs of paying in a foreign currency, including bank and international transaction fees, are paid by you.
  • Foreign visitors are generally exempt from Colombian taxes on hotel accommodation and pay only the hotel insurance fee directly at the hotel.

4. Booking and payment

  • The payment conditions for your trip, including any deposit and balance due dates, are set out in your itinerary proposal and accepted with your first payment.
  • We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners), PSE for Colombian bank accounts, and bank transfer.
  • Your booking is confirmed only when your payment has been successfully charged and verified and we have sent you written confirmation. If a payment is declined, the reservation may be cancelled.
  • Every transaction may be subject to anti-fraud verification. We do not store your card details.

5. Changes and cancellations

  • Please request any change as early as possible. All cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by the person who made the booking.
  • Changes and cancellations are subject to the penalties and policies of each provider (hotels, airlines, transport and local operators), which are shown in your proposal and accepted with your first payment. Some services, such as promotional or non-refundable hotel rates and flight tickets, cannot be changed or refunded.
  • Where a provider allows a refund, we will process it with the provider on your behalf. Refund times depend on the provider and your bank. Administrative costs of the process are deducted, and our service charges are not refundable.
  • If you do not show up for a service (no-show), the provider may cancel it without refund.
  • Services not used during the trip are not refundable.

6. Your consumer rights in Colombia

  • Right to withdraw (retracto): for purchases made remotely (online, by email, phone or WhatsApp), you may withdraw within five (5) business days of purchase, under Article 47 of Law 1480 of 2011. The refund is made through the original payment method; for bank transfers we will ask for your bank details again.
  • Payment reversal: for electronic payments, you may request a reversal within five (5) business days in cases of fraud, an unrequested transaction, or a service not received, defective or not as described, under Decree 587 of 2016. Requests made in bad faith can be sanctioned by Colombia’s Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.
  • You may also contact Colombia’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (mincit.gov.co) or the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (sic.gov.co).

7. Travel documents, health and insurance

You are responsible for holding a valid passport, any visas, and the health documents required for your nationality and itinerary, including for any countries you transit. Many countries require a passport valid for at least six months. Entry decisions are made by immigration authorities, and a refusal of entry or boarding is not our responsibility. Minors travelling with only one parent, or without their parents, need written authorization. Details are available at migracioncolombia.gov.co. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical care and cancellation.

8. Limits of our liability

We are not liable for events of force majeure, unforeseeable circumstances or acts of third parties, including accidents, strikes, civil unrest, earthquakes, weather and natural events, security conditions, political factors, refusal of entry, health matters, or delays and cancellations by airlines and other providers. In those cases refunds follow the law and each provider’s policy. We are not liable for personal expenses outside your itinerary, or for losses caused by a traveler’s own negligence. You are responsible for your personal belongings unless you have entrusted them to a provider; please declare valuables to your hotel. Providers may remove a traveler whose behavior endangers others or breaks the law, at the traveler’s own cost.

9. Responsible travel

Following the sustainability policy of Organización Aviatur, we ask travelers not to remove plants or animals from their habitat (this is an environmental crime), not to introduce exotic species, not to feed wildlife, to keep noise low in natural areas, not to make fires, and to dispose of waste properly.

10. Protection of children

In accordance with Article 17 of Law 679 of 2001, we inform all travelers that the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors in Colombia is punished under criminal and administrative law. In compliance with Law 1336 of 2009 and Resolution 3840 of 2009, Organización Aviatur has adopted a code of conduct to prevent the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism. Travelers agree to refrain from any such activity and to report any suspicion to the authorities immediately.

11. Personal data

We process your personal data under Colombian data protection law (Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and Law 1266 of 2008) only to plan, book and operate your trip, and we share it with providers only as needed to deliver your services. If you give us data about other travelers, including minors, you confirm you are authorized to do so. To access, correct or delete your data, write to info@colombiasky.com. Read our full Privacy Policy.

12. Anti-money-laundering

As required by Colombian law, Organización Aviatur screens clients, travelers and providers against national and international sanctions lists, such as the UN and OFAC lists, and may end services without notice to anyone listed or convicted of related offences.
